Jannik Sinner has booked his place in a Wimbledon final for a second consecutive year.
Sinner faced his toughest test yet in the Wimbledon semi-finals, coming up against seven-time champion Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic had actually beaten Sinner in their most recent meeting at the Australian Open, and was hoping to do so again on Centre Court at Wimbledon.
However, it was not meant to be for the 39-year-old, with Sinner full of praise for Djokovic after beating him 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

Jannik Sinner calls Novak Djokovic a ‘true inspiration’ after beating him
Sinner spoke in his on-court interview on Centre Court at Wimbledon, where he first wanted to praise Djokovic and how much of an inspiration he is to younger players on the ATP Tour.
“Amazing. First of all thanks for coming, the atmosphere has always been amazing since the first day and it means a lot to me that I can play one more final here,” said Sinner.
“It’s the most special tournament to me. Playing against Novak, what he is still showing, he is a true inspiration not only for you guys but also for the new generation. What he is still doing is amazing, incredible.”
Sinner then referred to his defeat to Djokovic at the Australian Open, as he explained what he tried to do differently to beat the Serbian.
“We always have very tough matches and the last one he won in the semis in Australia. I tried to make a couple of adjustments even though here on grass it was very difficult,” added Sinner.
“He had a very tough one the last one vs Felix, one which we will forever remember in this arena. I tried to be really aggressive, serving well and he is from my point of view the best returner in our game, so I tried to mix it up and I am very happy about today’s performance.”
Who will win the Wimbledon final? Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev
The top two seeds collide!
Sinner had struggled to find his best form earlier on in the tournament at Wimbledon, but he now appears to be happy with the tennis he produced in the semi-final against Djokovic.
“At the beginning of the tournament it’s always tough, especially coming here,” admitted the world number one. “I feel like every round is different because of the grass so you need to adapt.
“I knew today that I needed to raise my level which I have done. I am glad my team put myself in the best possible position to perform this way. I am happy where I am and happy to be back in the final and we hope for a good final Sunday.”
Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev Head-to-Head
Sinner will now look ahead to his second consecutive Wimbledon final, as he attempts to defend his title against Alexander Zverev, who beat Arthur Fery in the other semi-final.
Zverev once actually led the head-to-head against Sinner 4-1, but it has been very one-sided since then.
Sinner has won his last nine matches against Zverev, with the last six of those all being in straight sets.
