Jannik Sinner concluded the American swing by winning the Miami Open on Sunday.

Sinner defeated Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-4 in Sunday’s final, becoming only the eighth man in tennis history to complete the ‘Sunshine Double.’

The Italian has also joined an elite group alongside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, and has now won three straight Masters 1000 titles without dropping a set.

Is Jannik Sinner now the best server on the ATP Tour?

Sinner seems to break records with every passing week, and he has done so once again in Florida.

Jannik Sinner usurps Andre Agassi

Andre Agassi is widely considered to be one of the best all-court players in tennis history.

The American, who won eight Grand Slam titles, is one of only six men in the Open Era to complete the career Grand Slam – winning all four Grand Slam events.

Remarkably, Jannik Sinner may already be a better hard-court player than the American tennis legend.

With victory over Lehecka on Sunday, Sinner has now become the quickest player to reach 75 wins at hard-court Masters events.

Sinner has achieved the feat in 92 matches – one fewer than Agassi did.

Sinner will have to wait a few months before he can improve upon his impressive record at hard-court Masters events.

The next hard-court Masters event is the Canadian Open, which is set to take place from August 2 to 13.

Sinner won his first Masters 1000 title at the 2023 Canadian Open, defeating Alex de Minaur in the final.

A year later, the Italian reached the quarter-finals before losing to Andrey Rublev.

Sinner did not compete in the 2025 Canadian Open.

Andre Agassi’s Miami Open debut

Andre Agassi made his Miami Open debut at the 1987 event.

In the first round, Agassi was drawn against future French Open champion Thomas Muster.

Unfortunately for fans of the American, he lost a close five-set contest 6-7, 5-7, 7-5, 6-0, 4-6.

Will Jannik Sinner overtake Carlos Alcaraz and become world number one? 🤔

Muster went on to reach the third round before losing to Ivan Lendl.

A year later, Agassi secured his first victories in Miami. The youngster defeated Jeremy Bates and Tom Nijssen before losing to Aaron Krickstein.

Agassi went on to win six titles in Miami, the last being in 2003.
