Jannik Sinner took his unbeaten run to seven games by defeating Damir Dzumhur in straight sets at the Miami Open.
The world number two followed up his Indian Wells triumph by dropping just six games against the Bosnian star.
Sinner has been tipped to win Miami and close the gap on Carlos Alcaraz at the top of the ATP Tour rankings.
After confirming his place in the next round of the Masters event, Sinner unveiled major changes he’s trying to make to his game.

Sinner won several points at the net during his match with Dzumhur, which he has often said he is trying to improve.
Speaking about his new arsenal during his on-court interview, Sinner said: “For me, the transition game is very important. It’s a part that we’ve tried to improve a lot. It also depends a bit, day by day.”

The Italian said his second round match against Dzumhur was the perfect time to experiment with the changes.
“Today, starting off with a break straightaway, I tried to be a bit aggressive. At times it worked very well, at times I made a couple of unforced errors, but I didn’t have a lot of time to adjust here.
Speaking about the conditions, Sinner said: “It’s very different than in Indian Wells. First-round matches are never easy, so I’m happy.”
Sinner will play Corentin Moutet next, who impressively defeated Tomas Machac in three sets in his first match.

Sinner and Moutet have both been on the scene for years at this point, which makes it all the more surprising that the two men have only met in one competitive match.
The clash came on one of the sport’s biggest stages, at Roland Garros in 2024.
The pair played out a terrifically competitive round of 16 match, which went the way of Sinner after four sets.

Moutet was overwhelmingly backed on home soil on Philippe-Chatrier, but that will not be the case in Miami.
Speaking about the match in 2024, Sinner said: “It was tough for me today. Moutet played very well in the first set, I also had chances but in the important points he always played better than me.
“I had to fix a few things. It should be underlined that he played a great tournament. The atmosphere in which the match was played was extraordinary.”
Moutet and Sinner will play their third round match on 23 March, with the order of play yet to be confirmed.
