Jannik Sinner captured his fifth ATP Tour title of 2025 on Sunday after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Paris Masters final.
Despite Auger-Aliassime’s best efforts, Sinner overcame the Canadian in straight sets, winning the contest 6-4, 7-6.
Sinner, ever a class act, sent a message to Auger-Aliassime after the final, describing his peer as an ‘amazing person.’
Following his triumph in Paris, the Italian has reclaimed the world number one spot from Carlos Alcaraz and will look to end the year as world number one when the ATP Finals take place later this month.

Sinner has also now reached the 10,000 points mark on the ATP Tour this season, emulating his 2024 efforts.
Jannik Sinner wins 10,000 ATP points in consecutive years
Sinner is only the second player to win 10,000 points in consecutive seasons since the ATP rankings point system was changed in 2009.
The other player to win 10,000 points in consecutive years is Novak Djokovic, who achieved upwards of 10,000 for six consecutive seasons between 2011 and 2016.
Despite missing three months of the season, Sinner has managed to rack up an impressive points total in 2025.
The Italian has reached the final in nine of his 11 tournaments this year. His only non-final appearances occurred at the Halle Open and Shanghai Masters, where he lost to Alexander Bublik and Tallon Griekspoor, respectively.
Of those nine finals, Sinner has won five: the Australian Open, Wimbledon, China Open, Vienna Open and Shanghai Masters.

Is Sinner the favourite in Turin?
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will be the favourites in Turin, regardless of who qualifies in the eighth and final spot.
Sinner has long been considered the dominant force on hard courts. However, Alcaraz’s victory against Sinner in the US Open final raises questions regarding Sinner’s supposed dominance.
However, the Italian should be considered the favourite in Italy due to his astonishing record on indoor hard courts.
The Italian is unbeaten on the surface since 2023, racking up 26 consecutive wins on the surface.

Sinner is also the defending ATP Finals champion, and having the crowd on his side in Turin will certainly assist in his quest to repeat.
