Jack Draper’s return to tennis is imminent as the British number one returns from an arm injury that kept him away from the court for three months.
Before his injury troubles, Draper was enjoying the best season of his life in the 2025 season which saw his first major tournament win and a career ranking high.
The Brit won his first Masters tournament at Indian Wells and reached world number four in the ATP Tour rankings.
Ahead of Jack Draper’s return to tennis at the UTS Grand Finals, he has outlined what he wants to achieve next season.

Jack Draper outlines his goals for the 2026 season
Draper looked like the best bet to challenge Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner before his injury, but he doesn’t think that will be the case next season.
Asked about his goals for 2025 by Tennis Majors, Draper replied: “To get back on court firing and competing. I want to be among the best and keep improving.
“With hard work, my team, and staying injury free, I believe I can reach the top. I’d like to go beyond semifinals, be top four in Grand Slams, break into the top ten, and win more 250 and 500 tournaments. I want more consistency in big events and deeper runs.”
However, Draper believes he is currently unlikely to be able to compete with Alcaraz and Sinner upon his return next season.
“They’re way ahead. I’ve set a bar for now, but it’s up to the newer players to challenge and end their dominance.”
Draper will return to tennis at the UTS Grand Finals, and he’s also confirmed for the United Cup and the Auckland Open.
Jack Draper has proved he can challenge Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner
There might be some teething problems for Draper upon his return to the upper echelons of the game, but there is every chance the Brit’s power can cause the best two players in the world problems.
Draper has beaten both men before and he holds respectable records against both Alcaraz and Sinner in their head-to-heads.
The Brit has won two of his six matches against Alcaraz after knocking the Spaniard out of Queen’s and Indian Wells.
As for Sinner, Draper has shared a win apiece with the Italian after beating him at Queen’s and losing at the 2024 US Open.
Draper offers something different to the other competitors at the top of the ATP Tour rankings, and there’s every chance he can upset the applecart.
