Jack Draper is set to return to tennis for the first time in three months at the UTS Grand Finals in London.

The Brit’s season was curtailed when he withdrew from the US Open with an arm injury before a second round match with Zizou Bergs.

Draper has given a positive update on his injury and announced a whole host of tournaments prior to the Australian Open.

The British star received a wild card for the UTS Grand Finals, after winning the tournament in 2023, and his group has now been revealed.

Jack Draper’s UTS Grand Finals draw revealed

Draper has been drawn in a group with David Goffin, Francisco Cerundolo, and Casper Ruud at the London event.

The British No. 1 is yet to beat any of his three upcoming opponents on the ATP Tour, although he’s yet to play Goffin at all.

Draper’s only meeting with Ruud came in the final of this year’s Madrid Open, which the Brit lost in three sets.

As for Cerundolo, Draper has not beaten the Argentine in either of their previous two meetings, although they haven’t played since 2024.

Draper lost a Davis Cup tie to the Argentine in that year, and also suffered a 2023 loss to Cerundolo on the clay in Lyon.

The 23-year-old will need to shake off any rust immediately if he wants to win the tournament where he first made his name in 2023.

The UTS Finals is the perfect event for Jack Draper’s recovery

Draper was yet to win a professional tournament when he arrived at the UTS Grand Finals in London two years ago.

The tournament provided a catalyst for the Brit as he defeated the likes of Holger Rune, Alexander Bublik, and Gael Monfils to lift the trophy.

Shortly after his landmark win at the tail-end of the 2023 season, Draper surged into 2024 full of confidence.

The Brit won two tournaments that year, at Stuttgart and Vienna, which saw him climb to World No. 15 in the rankings.

Draper’s rise was partly due to his appearance at the UTS event, and it could provide yet another launchpad for the Brit this year.

He arrives at the event in 2025 with very little pressure on him, but with an excellent opportunity to compete with top 20 players.
