Jack Draper is set for his ATP Tour return at the Dubai Tennis Championships after six months on the sideline.
Draper returned at the Davis Cup, but he hasn’t played competitive singles action since the 2025 US Open.
The British number one will play a qualifier or lucky loser in round one in Dubai as he looks to climb back up the rankings and threaten the top 10 again.
Draper has widely been considered one of the stars who can compete with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz at the top of the ATP Tour and he has now admitted the two huge events he wants to win the most.

Jack Draper picks the top two events he wants to win the most
Speaking to The Khaleej Times, the British number one namedropped two tournaments he’s desperate to win in his career.
The star admitted to wanting to feel an Olympic gold medal around his neck, as well as to win his home Grand Slam at Wimbledon, both of which Andy Murray won in his career.
Draper admitted: “I think everyone wants to win a gold medal at the Olympics. You saw what it meant to (Novak) Djokovic (when he won it in 2024). To win the Olympic gold the way he did was incredible.
Where will Jack Draper be ranked by the end of 2026?
“And what Andy did, winning two golds, is something very special. I think if you ask him, it was one of his biggest achievements. I think Wimbledon is obviously the tournament I want to win more than anything.”
However, Draper also explained why he remains coy about which tournaments he wants to collect in his career.
“I never like to talk about winning tournaments. I just focus on what I can do as a tennis player and what’s in my control, to keep on improving, keep learning, keep growing as a player. And I believe if I do that, I have a very strong chance of putting myself in some good positions.”
Draper played the 2024 Paris Olympics, but he was beaten in the second round by Taylor Fritz after picking up a win against Kei Nishikori.
Jack Draper’s poor record at Wimbledon
If Draper truly wants to win Wimbledon, he will need to drastically improve his form at the Grand Slam.
Unfortunately for Draper, the British star has never produced his best tennis at the legendary grass court event.
Draper is yet to reach past the second round of the tournament, a stage he has fallen at on three occasions.
Who is to blame for Jack Draper’s injury issues?
There was giddy excitement for Draper at Wimbledon in 2025, as he came into the Grand Slam as the world number four.
However, the British number one was shocked in the second round by Marin Cilic, who beat Draper in four sets.
Draper has also lost to Cameron Norrie, Alex de Minaur, and Djokovic at the grass court Grand Slam.
