Hutchins secures doubles title

Hutchins and his Australian partner defeated number three seeds Ashley Fisher and Bobby Reynolds 7-5 6-4.

“It feels unbelievable,” said 23-year-old Fisher. “I’ve only been on tour a couple of years and it’s just a great feeling to finally come through. It’s my second final and I made the semi-finals here last year so it’s great to go better.”

He added: “I came late due to Davis Cup, which didn’t go as well, but it’s been a brilliant week. We played four very good matches, combined very well, haven’t dropped a set, only played one tie-break, so just played some amazing stuff. Credit to him (Huss) and myself, he played great.”
