Green, Sammel and Cowan join Tennishead

Fitness expert Jez Green (pictured), tour coach Dave Sammel and tennis broadcaster Barry Cowan have joined the Tennishead team as our panel of tuition experts.

That means great news for you the readers youll all soon be benefiting from their expert help and advice right here on Tennishead.

Sammel will be Tennisheads Coaching Editor, Green our new Fitness Editor and Cowan the brands Editor at Large.

Sammel is the MCTA Director of Tennis and has been a touring coach on the professional circuit for the last 18 years.

As well as regular blogs from the road, Sammel will let us tap into his extensive knowledge of the technical, tactical and mental side of the game.

Green, also an MCTA Director, is one of the worlds leading experts on conditioning and movement for tennis.

The Englishman is currently working with world No.4 Andy Murray and MCTA players including Anna Fitzpatrick. He has also spent time training the likes of Daniela Hantuchova, Wes Moodie, Irakli Labadze and Tatiana Golovin.

Green will be sharing his training secrets to help you become fitter, faster and stronger tennis players in 2009.

Cowan, best known for taking Pete Sampras to five sets at Wimbledon in 2001, is a tennis commentator for Sky Sports.

The former British Davis Cup player will be sharing his observations from the ATP and WTA tours as he travels the world analysing the game’s superstars.
