Felix Auger-Aliassime reacts to incredible run on grass ahead of clash with Tsitsipas

He’s the talk of tennis at the moment after a break out season which shows no signs of stopping but what does Felix Auger-Aliassime think of his form on grass so far?

After reaching the finals in Stuttgart at the Mercedes Cup last week and now beating Grigor Dimitrov and Nick Kyrgios in the same day, few would blame Felix Auger-Aliassime from getting carried away, but he seems to have his feet planted firmly on the green turf if this recent interview is anything to go by.

“There’s a lot of history at this tournament especially when you see al the players that have won it before so it’s a special feeling for me just to be here and be seeded”.

When asked about his performance at Stuttgart last week he said, “As a first week on grass it’s tough to ask for more. to come there with no expectations and to reach the final is unbelievable”.

Auger-Aliassime now faces his toughest task in trying to topple the No.1 seed at the Fever Tree Championships this week, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The young Canadian actually has a 100% winning record against his Greek opponent having beaten Tsitsipas in their one encounter at Indian Wells this year, 6-4 6-2.

Their match is the second game on Centre Court today at Queen’s club after Diego Schwartzman takes on Daniil Medvedev.
