Emma Raducanu to travel to Austria after adding another WTA event to her 2021 calendar
US Open champion Emma Raducanu has added another WTA event to her 2021 schedule as she travels to Austria in November.
The 18-year-old, who will make her first appearance since her heroic New York triumph at the Indian Wells event this week, has also entered the Upper Austria Ladies Linz event.
After the BNP Paribas Open finishes, the British number one has entered the Kremlin Cup in Moscow commencing on October 18 followed by the Transylvania Open in Romania the week after.
The Linz tournament will be Raducanu’s next event on November 6, but the British teenager could be forced to withdraw from the Austrian tournament should she qualify for the WTA Finals in Guadalajara which begins on November 10.

The top eight players of the 2021 season will qualify for the prestigious event, though Raducanu could feature despite sitting 15th with doubts over the likes of Ashleigh Barty and Naomi Osaka amongst others.
The 18-year-old will look to collect several more ranking points at the next three events before a potential appearance at the WTA Finals, with a good showing at Indian Wells looking essential for a spot in Mexico.
Raducanu will also have a new coach in box for Indian Wells in former British number one Jeremy Bates, who is also the Lawn Tennis Association’s national women’s coach, joining her team in Indian Wells.
