Elena Rybakina’s superb start to the season has continued at the Stuttgart Open as she confirmed her place in the final of the event.
Rybakina is set for a busy clay court schedule, which has begun with victories against Mirra Andreeva, Leylah Fernandez, and Diana Schnaider.
The star has already collected a Grand Slam in 2026 and reached world number two in the WTA Tour rankings yet again.
Now, she holds a record over every single other player on the WTA Tour following her exploits in Stuttgart.

Elena Rybakina tops WTA Tour list
Rybakina benefited from Aryna Sabalenka’s withdrawal from the Stuttgart Open and she’s managed to oust her from a very important list.
The Kazakhstan star is now top of the WTA Tour Finals race list following her four victories at the German tournament.
Is Rybakina the best player on the WTA Tour right now?
If not, who is better?
Rybakina currently holds 3808 points from her performances across the 2026 season, with 2000 of them coming from the Australian Open.
Having won the first major of the year, Rybakina is very likely to earn access into the WTA Finals despite the rest of her performances throughout the year.
However, Rybakina looks to be continuing her excellent form well into the European clay court swing.
She is set for appearances in Madrid and Rome ahead of Roland Garros, where she has reached two quarter-finals previously.
Elena Rybakina could join tennis greats by winning Stuttgart
Rybakina is looking to win the Stuttgart Open for the second time, following her maiden victory back in 2024.
If the star wins the title for the second time, she will become just the 11th player to win the tournament more than once.
Is Aryna Sabalenka vs Elena Rybakina the best rivalry in women’s tennis right now?
If not, who is?
Rybakina will join the likes of Justine Henin, Martina Navratilova, Kim Clijsters, Maria Sharapova, and Lindsay Davenport by winning the event twice.
The last player to win the event for a second time was Iga Swiatek, who won the Stuttgart Open in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023.
Rybakina plays Karolina Muchova in the Stuttgart final, a player whom currently holds a 2-1 head-to-head record against the star.
