Daniil Medvedev picked up his first trophy for over two years by winning the Almaty Open, and he continued an incredible personal record.
Medvedev has been in sensational form in Almaty, and the Russian was impressive in the final against Corentin Moutet.
The match went to a decider, but Medvedev managed to pick up a narrow win and his first trophy since winning the Italian Open in 2023.
Medvedev’s latest win continued an incredible personal record that no other player even comes close to achieving.

Daniil Medvedev achieves 21 different title wins after Almaty triumph
Medvedev’s win at the Almaty Open ensured his 21st title win on the ATP Tour and remarkably he’s never won the same title more than once.
The Russian star has won trophies all across the world, but he’s never tasted success at the same tournament.
Medvedev has lifted trophies in Sydney, Winston-Salem, Tokyo, Sofia, Cincinnati, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, Paris-Bercy, London, Marseille, Mallorca, Toronto, New York, Los Cabos, Vienna, Rotterdam, Dubai, Miami, Rome, and now Almaty.
Medvedev was inspired at the Almaty Open and notched up wins against Moutet, James Duckworth, Fábián Marozsán, and Adam Walton.
The star will now head to the Vienna Open, a tournament he’s previously won in 2022 after beating Denis Shapovalov in the final.
Daniil Medvedev continues his supreme form on hard court
Medvedev might have cooled off in 2025 with some suspect form, but he still remains a real threat on hard courts.
The star’s win in Almaty ensured his 302nd win on the surface since 2018, which is more than anybody else currently on the tour.
Medvedev has two more tournaments left of 2025 and in his current form there’s every chance he can make a last-minute dash to the ATP Finals.
The Russian star is currently ranked World No. 14 after his Almaty Open win, and he heads to the Vienna Open and the Paris Masters in the next couple of weeks.
