Various reports have suggested that Kim Clijsters, the Belgian tennis star, is set to resume her tennis career after retiring from the game two years ago to have a baby.

According to Sky Sports, the former world No.1 is expected to announce a comeback very soon. These plans include possibly playing at the US Open in September.

Clijsters, who won the US Open in 2005 along with 34 singles titles throughout her career has been back in training recently. She has already decided to play World Team Tennis in the US in July and appear at Wimbledon in May to test the Centre Court roof.

Could the game be welcoming back a crowd favourite to the tour, tennishead hopes so.
