Casper Ruud might have ended his season outside the top 10, but his late season form showed signs of promise.
Ruud ended the season by winning the Stockholm Open, which helped him qualify as an alternate for the ATP Finals.
The star finished the season as the World No. 11 and he is less than 200 points away from Jack Draper’s tenth position.
Ruud has been spotted training with a rising star who enjoyed a standout season after graduating from the Rafael Nadal Academy.

Casper Ruud practices with Coleman Wong
Ruud has already confirmed his early season schedule and he has begun his preparations by working with Hong Kong star Coleman Wong.
On Instagram, Wong shared a video of himself with Ruud at the Oslo Tennis Arena, which hosts Challenger events.
Wong trained at the Rafael Nadal Academy and enjoyed a breakthrough season on the ATP Tour this season.
What is your bold prediction for the 2026 tennis season?
The star reached the third round of the US Open by defeating Aleksandar Kovacevic and Adam Walton, becoming the only player from Hong Kong to reach that stage of the Grand Slam.
Wong ended the season as the World No. 151 but practise sessions with Ruud will prepare him well for the upcoming season.
Ruud, meanwhile, is preparing for an Australian Open where he has not often performed at his best. The Norwegian has only ever reached past the third round once, which came in 2021.
When does Casper Ruud return to tennis?
Unlike many of the top players, Ruud is preparing for several tournaments ahead of the 2026 Australian Open.
The Norwegian will play the United Cup, alongside Viktor Durasovic and Malene Helgo, as well as the ASB Classic in Auckland.
