Novak Djokovic is bidding to win his 25th Grand Slam title at the French Open this year.
Djokovic is the sixth seed at this year’s tournament and won his first round match against Mackenzie McDonald in comfortable fashion.
While Djokovic is certainly a French Open contender, a lot of people have him behind top two seeds Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the pecking order.
When discussing the Serbian’s chances in Paris this year, former world number one Caroline Wozniacki previewed what could happen if Djokovic played Sinner at the French Open this year.

Caroline Wozniacki says whether she thinks Novak Djokovic can beat Jannik Sinner
Djokovic and Sinner could only meet at the French Open if both players reach the semi-finals.
When discussing that potential semi-final match, the aforementioned Wozniacki explained why she believes Djokovic could beat the world number one.
However, the former Australian Open champion did add the caveat that Djokovic would have to be 100% fit if he is to have a chance against Sinner.
“I think he could have, yeah,” Wozniacki said on TNT Sports. “I think because of the experience, because he has been there so many times, I think he definitely has the chance to win. I believe he could beat anyone playing his best tennis.
“Now, if he is not 100% I don’t think he has a chance. But if he is 100% and his body feels great I have no doubt that he can beat anyone on the other side of the net.”
Djokovic and Sinner have played each other eight times before, splitting the head-to-head with four wins apiece.
However, it is Sinner who has won their three most recent meetings, with the latest instalment in their rivalry coming in the Shanghai Masters final last year.
Djokovic can take some comfort from the fact that he beat Sinner in their only previous meeting on clay, which came at the 2021 Monte Carlo Masters.

Caroline Wozniacki explains what is so impressive about Novak Djokovic after his 100th title win
Although it is still not clear how far Djokovic will go at the French Open this year, he is coming into this year’s tournament with some momentum after winning the Geneva Open.
This was Djokovic’s 100th ATP title and Wozniacki has praised the 38-year-old for his ability to keep competing at the top of the sport for so many years.
“I just think it’s so impressive,” said Wozniacki. “Obviously he is so good but it’s really impressive how he can peak and set himself up for what is most important to him.
“Last year at the Olympics I don’t think anyone thought that was going to happen and he played one great tournament for him at the Olympics and he kind of took the rest of the year to relax a bit.
“This year he could have won Australia if he hadn’t gotten hurt and I think this year all of a sudden he came from no form to coming into form winning last week and you can’t write him off. He has won 24 Grand Slam titles for a reason and if he can stay healthy he is a real force.”
