Carlos Alcaraz has revealed his dream doubles partner at the Laver Cup as he looks to help Team Europe retain their title.
Alcaraz is Team Europe’s biggest weapon at the tournament, which takes place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
The star won eight points during his debut Laver Cup in 2024 as Team Europe lifted the title after he toppled Taylor Fritz in the decider in Berlin.
Following his successful debut year, Alcaraz has expressed one wish he’d like to achieve at the event this year.

Alcaraz is hoping to team with Alexander Zverev again at the Laver Cup after their 2024 match ended in defeat to Fritz and Ben Shelton.
“I’ve been talking with Sasha and [other] players about that…reminding [them] from last year and about doubles and about the day[s],” said Alcaraz to the Laver Cup website.
The pair fell to a straight-sets loss before Team Europe turned it around and confirmed victory after Alcaraz defeated Fritz in singles action.
“I’m just excited. I want to play with Sasha again,” revealed Alcaraz. “I just really want to get a win with him as a partner.”
Alcaraz will be in doubles action on the opening day of the Laver Cup, teaming with Jakub Mensik to take on Fritz and Alex Michelsen.
Who is in action at the 2025 Laver Cup?
The 2025 Laver Cup kicks off on September 19, with four matches across a day and evening session in San Francisco.
Casper Ruud vs Reilly Opelka will begin proceedings in the singles, and will be followed by Mensik vs Michelsen.

The evening session will kick off with two of the biggest rising stars in the tournament as Flavio Cobolli takes on Joao Fonseca in singles action.
Alcaraz and Mensik vs Fritz and Michelsen will round off the action in doubles as the opening day leaderboard will be locked in place.
