Iga Swiatek US Open 2022

Can Iga Swiatek go back-to-back at the 2023 US Open?

World number one Iga Swiatek has blazed a trail at the top of the women’s game in 2022. Following the shock retirement of Ashleigh Barty following her 2022 Australian Open triumph, Swiatek has picked up the mantle with aplomb.

Backing up her 2021 French Open title with another in 2022, as well as an incredible showing to clinch the US Open in New York – attention naturally turns to how much the young Pole can achieve in 2023.

At the age of just 21, Swiatek is arguably the most precocious talent on the WTA Tour since the likes of Maria Sharapova and the Williams sisters before that.

Consistency has been at the heart of her performances in 2022, with 8 WTA titles clinched this season and an incredible win percentage of 89% in all matches played.

Following the WTA Tour Finals in Fort Worth, Dallas, Swiatek will end the campaign as the number one player on the planet, something she will be looking to build upon as 2023 looms.

Winning the Australian Open next January in Melbourne will be a key objective for Swiatek, as it remains one of only two Grand Slams on the tour that have been elusive for her.

Conditions down under should suit Swiatek, who will be desperate to build on her run to the semi-finals in 2022.

Iga Swiatek is +200 to win the Australian Open, odds that are representative of her dominance on the WTA Tour in recent times.

The French Open will once again be looming large for Swiatek in May 2023, as she looks to make it three women’s singles titles in a row at Roland Garros.

Clay is arguably the surface most suited to Swiatek’s all-action game and how she would love to etch her name into the history books in Paris.

At +110, Iga Swiatek is the hot favorite to reign supreme at the 2023 French Open and betting against her doesn’t look too wise currently, NJ sportsbooks predicted.

Wimbledon was the sticking point for Swiatek in 2022 and she will be out to prove the doubters wrong on the grass in 2023.

Winning at SW19 carries the same prestige it always has done and how Swiatek would love to tick that career box.

Iga Swiatek is +400 to win her maiden Wimbledon title in 2023 and how she should love to break her duck on grass.

Defending her US Open title will be the final objective of the 2023 season for Swiatek, who blew away all before her at Flushing Meadows in 2022.

At +325 to go back-to-back at the 2023 US Open, Swiatek looks to be in a good place to go all the way once again next year.

Completing a season Grand Slam is the stuff of dreams for most players but Iga Swiatek looks to be very much within reach of achieving it and at +1600 to achieve that feat in 2023, she could write her name into the history books of the game.
