Down the Line Sports in association with the Academia Sanchez-Casal are proud to announce that academy founder and owner Emilio Sanchez and three of his top academy coaches will be hosting a series of coaching workshops in the UK next month.

The workshops will take place at the Lancashire Health & Racquets Club (Esporta) in Middleton, Manchester on June 15 and 16, and The West Hants Club in Bournemouth on June 17 and 18. Each day will be split into two four four-hour sessions as follows:

Manchester Tuesday June 15 9.00-13.00 Coaching
Junior Performance
Manchester Wednesday June 16
9.00-13.00 Adult Club Player
Junior Performance
Bournemouth Thursday June 17 9.00-13.00 Coaching
Junior Performance
Friday June 18 9.00-13.00 Coaching
Junior Performance

Emilio Sanchez broke the world’s top ten singles rankings and was doubles world No.1 during his playing days, before founding the Barcelona-based academy with doubles partner Sergio Casal. In 2005 he was named Spain’s Davis Cup captain, leading the squad to their third title in 2008.

Founded in 1998, the Academia Sanchez-Casal has already garnered a reputation as world-renowned coaching facility, famously guiding a young Andy Murray through the junior ranks. The academy mission statement is “creating opportunities in tennis, in education, in life,” based on a coaching philosophy that focuses on teaching the core values of education, competitiveness, enthusiasm and industriousness: “developing successful young people in all aspects of life, using tennis and education as the vehicle for personal development.”

Sanchez and his team have never led such a series of workshops before here in the UK and numbers arestrictly limited, so don’t let the opportunity to spend some court time with one of the world’s top coaches pass you by!

Each four-hour session will cost between £80 and £90. Click here for more details and to download application forms for the coaching, junior and adult workshops. For more info contact Down the Line Sports at [email protected] or call them on 01904 639222.
