Borg and McEnroe’s fancy pants

Two of the greatest players of all time – John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg –  teamed up to launch a limited edition range of underwear that became available across the world last month.

Sweden’s Borg is already well-known for his underwear line, and now McEnroe has muscled in on the action, with a share of the profits raised going to the American’s John and Patty McEnroe Foundation.

The collection is inspired by the 80s and features four different underwear styles – two designed by Borg and two by McEnroe.

“I loved the idea as soon as I heard it,” said 55-year-old Borg. “It’s an opportunity to once again team up with John and beat him on new grounds!”

One hundred customers will be in for a nice surprise when they pull on their briefs – 100 pairs of the pants were been signed by the two legends and randomly distributed amongst orders.

The collaboration also involved an online charity auction featuring eight unique pieces of Borg and McEnroe tennis memorabilia plus an hour on court with each legend up for grabs. An hour with McEnroe recently went to a bidder who paid a whopping $20,000 for the opportunity.
