Babolat unveils new colourful Propulse 3

We’ve got used to their Ferrari-red blur on the speedy feet of Andy Roddick, but the Babolat Propulse 3 is now available in two new, slightly more conservative, colour combinations.

Featuring the same heavy dose of tennis-specific technologies, including the innovative three-point footbelt system for heel, ankle and instep support, the official shoe of the former world No.1 is now available in black with green and blue tones for men, and pink and black for women.

The shoe, which has an RRP of £89.99, was initially conceived on the observation that 80% of a player’s movements on the court are lateral or diagonal, and the resulting technologies have been coordinated with that in mind.

Also available in a clay court version, the new colours are in stores nationwide now, with the men’s model including two pairs of laces (blue and grey/green).

Babolat Propulse 3 technologies:

Exact Pro
: Propulsion system under the forefoot generates a dynamic impulse in lateral movements for faster, more precise and more efficient footwork.

OCS Michelin
: Developed in collaboration with Michelin’s R&D team, the Propulse 3 outsole offers optimized traction and is more resistant to wear and tear thanks to OCS sculptures directly inspired by rally racing tires.

Kompressor System
: Thermoplastic-filled tubes in the KOMPRESSOR heel system absorb energy when the heel hits the ground, uniformly distributing it for optimum comfort.

Cell Shield: High performance upper made with cellular material stands up to even more abrasion while providing excellent comfort. The mesh lining keeps the foot well ventilated for improved comfort.

Footbelt: Innovative system defined by three points: heel, ankle and instep support offering a tailor made fit for perfect foot-shoe synergy.
