Iga Swiatek was unable to add to her Roland Garros title collection this year.
Swiatek won her first Roland Garros title in 2020 at just 19 years old, and she has now collected four titles at the Paris major in total.
The 24-year-old was unable to add to her tally this year, with Swiatek losing to Marta Kostyuk in the fourth round of Roland Garros this year.
This is Swiatek’s worst result at Roland Garros since her debut in 2019, but former top 10 player Andrea Petkovic is expecting her to bounce back.

Andrea Petkovic backs Iga Swiatek to win at least four more Roland Garros titles
After Mirra Andreeva won the Roland Garros title, the current landscape of Grand Slam champions was discussed on The Big T Podcast.
This was where Petkovic brought up Swiatek, who she claimed only lost to Kostyuk after getting tight in the match.
Petkovic then predicted that Swiatek would win at least four more titles at Roland Garros, but suggested that she could win as many as eight more.
“I saw glimpses of her best tennis on clay here in the first three rounds and she just got tight against Marta Kostyuk,” said Petkovic. “Not just, that’s part of tennis, but she talked about that she has this problem right now.
“I think when she overcomes it, if she overcomes it, obviously nobody knows it’s written in the stars. I think she will still win five to seven to eight more Roland Garros’ alone…She should have won this Roland Garros, she knows it.
“She was up three times a break on Marta Kostyuk, the best clay court player of the season, and Marta was already getting tired from having won so much, and then she just got tight and couldn’t play the game. When she was playing just average, normal clay court tennis, she was so much better than Marta Kostyuk, who has dominated the clay court season.
“If she can tap into that a little more consistently, I guarantee you that she wins at least four more on this and then she’s at 10 and she’s double digit.”
