Alexander Bublik hits 2026 milestone that Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are yet to reach

Alexander Bublik’s incredible resurgence has continued at the Rotterdam Open, where he has reached the quarter-finals for the first time.

The world number 10 defeated Jan Lennard Struff in a tough three-set battle to set up a match with Jaume Munar.

The star’s best-ever performance at the Rotterdam Open follows Bublik’s fourth round appearance at the Australian Open, which he had also never done before.

Bublik’s record-breaking run in 2026 has also seen him reach a milestone that no other player on the ATP Tour is yet to complete.

Alexander Bublik becomes the first ATP star to hit 10 wins in 2026

Bublik has already won the Hong Kong Open this term, as well as competed for Kazakhstan in the Davis Cup.

The star’s hard yards in 2026 have seen him hit double figures for victories, which no other ATP player is yet to achieve.

Bublik’s resurgence can be emphasised by when he managed to reach that number last term, after an extremely poor start to the year.

It took Bublik until June 2025 to pick up his 10th victory, which shows he’s truly hit a rich vein of form at the start of this year.

Bublik has picked up impressive victories against Lorenzo Musetti, Hubert Hurkacz, and Jenson Brooksby already this year.

Alexander Bublik’s route to the Rotterdam Open final

Bublik has had to scrap at the Rotterdam Open, with his matches against Lennard Struff and Hurkacz both needing three sets.

The world number 10 will likely need to dig in to get past Munar in the quarter-finals and it will not get any easier from there.

What is your bold prediction for the 2026 tennis season?

If Bublik beats Munar, he will play the winner of Tallon Griekspoor or Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final four.

Griekspoor will be the fans’ favourite in his home country, while Auger-Aliassime’s incredible indoor hardcourt record makes him an extremely tough customer.

Should Bublik make it to the final, his most likely opponent will be last year’s runner-up Alex de Minaur, who knocked Bublik out of the Australian Open.
