Roger Federer out for months after undergoing knee surgery
The injury that plagued Roger Federer at the 2020 Australian Open has forced him to go under the knife with a return to tennis not scheduled until the grass court season later this year
Roger Federer won’t play a competitive tennis match for at least 4 months as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery on an injury that caused him to struggle during his epic run to the semi-finals of this years Australian Open.
Federer clearly struggled during the early stages of his quarter final marathon against Tennys Sandgren and then wasn’t at his best during the semi final loss to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
Federer took to Instagram to announce the surgery saying that his “right knee had been bothering him for some time but he’s hoped it would go away”
