The Serb, who signed a five-year apparel deal with the Japanese company in May 2012, attended a meet-and-greet with fans in the Oxford Street store.
"This is the only time of the year for a few weeks that we get to play on grass so it makes it even more special,” Djokovic said.
“Tennis is an individual sport so you are alone on the court and it is not only about how you are playing but also how you look and how you feel.
“Most of the players, especially those who are playing the high-profile matches on Centre Court they really care about how they look.”
Djokovic works closely with UNIQLO design director Naoki Takizawa to design all his tennis clothing, but joked that he did not have much input into the colour choice for his latest matchwear range.
“There is not much colour,” he joked. “Most of [my gear] is very colourful. There is obviously a big tradition and history behind Wimbledon and when you come to London, to England, people here respect tradition.
"That is something very exciting for a player to see because we are in modern times and a lot of things are evolving, but here in Wimbledon we still play in white clothes.”
