Aussie rules: mag rocks up Down Under

Heading Down Under anytime soon? And no, we don’t mean down under a table after you’ve overdone the sherry and mince pies this Christmas – we’re talking Australia, to the land of wonder, with the first Grand Slam of 2011 in mind…

Lets take that as a yes, and now we’ve cleared up your imminent travel plans – you can work out the finer details later – boy, do we lovely people at tennishead have a treat for you…

That’s right folks, not only are you now the luckiest person in Britain for having plans to escape the ever-disruptive and toe-numbingly freezing winter, you can become the envy of the rest of the world by laying your hands on the new AUSTRALIAN version of tennishead magazine.

Yep, we’ve well and truly excelled ourselves with this one – a mag that’s so jam-packed full of stuff, you’ll be surprised we bothered to leave out the didgeridoo.

Containing all you need to know about the upcoming Australian Open, we profile the Gold Coast’s very own Sam Stosur, investigate stars in the media and take a look at Novak Djokovic as the Serb attempts to repeat his lone Grand Slam triumph in Melbourne.

As well as all the usual great stories, images, features, exclusive interviews and coaching tips, we look at the Aussie challengers (they’re rather thin on the ground after Hewitt and Stosur) and profile all the other contenders for the Daphne Akhurst and Norman Brookes trophies. There’s a run down of all Aussie Open Series lead-up events too, and if that isn’t enough, we’ve chucked in all the results from last year’s tournament so you’re clued-up to the max before the action begins.

That’s probably enough to keep you busy on the Southern Hemisphere ‘till Christmas 2011, but don’t just take our word for it, hop on a plane, get down to Bondi Beach and bury your head in a copy NOW. Fair dinkum?
