Andy Murray had hinted at taking a break from tennis after losing his third Grand Slam final in Melbourne, but the Scot now looks set for a swift return to the tour at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam next week.
After his loss to Novak Djokovic on Sunday, Murray said: “I might not play for a few months, I might feel like playing in a week’s time. I’ll see how I feel.”
Turns out, the Scot must be feeling pretty sprightly since he’s committed to featuring at the ATP 500 tournament – which he won in 2009 – with the potential of another final showdown with new Australian Open champion Djokovic.
Adding to a strong field at the tournament is reigning Rotterdam champ Robin Soderling as well as Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer, Mikhail Youzhny, Jurgen Melzer and Jo-Wiflried Tsonga.
