REVEALED: Novak Djokovic’s incredible texts to Ukrainian fighter offering help
Novak Djokovic has offered ‘any’ help he can provide, including financial aid, to Ukrainian former tennis star Sergiy Stakhovsky.
36-year-old Stakhovsky was born in Kyiv and has returned to joined the armed forces defending his homeland from the invasion by Russia.
He has since confirmed that he is fighting on the front line as Ukraine valiantly attempt to repel the invaders, promoting Djokovic to personally offer his support.
“Stako, how are you man? Are you on the field? Think of you, hoping all calms down soon,” Novak Djokovic wrote in a WhatsApp message to Sergiy Stakhovsky.

“Please let me know what would be the best address to send help, financial help, any other help as well…”
It has been a whirlwind few months for Stakhovsey, who was attempting to qualify for the Australian Open in January.
Since then, though, he has helped evacuate his family to safety before being deployed by the Ukrainian armed forces a week ago.
