Jannik Sinner intensifies search for super-coach my ‘parting ways’ with Riccardo Piatti
Jannik Sinner has confirmed he has split from his long-time coaching team, including Riccardo Piatti, although he is yet to reveal who will replace them.
Sinner has had a fine rise up the rankings since break through three years ago and has now broken into the top ten to underline his progress.
That rise has been masterminded my Italian coaching legend Piatti, who moved Sinner to his academy at a young age.
However, having grown frustrated at Piatti’s inability to spend more time on tour with him, Sinner has decided to seek a new coach to work with.
“After many successful years together, my coaching team and I have decided to part ways,” Jannik Sinner said on Twitter.
“I’d like to thank Riccardo, Daibor, Claudio, Andrea, Cristia, and Gaia for everything they have done for me from the beginning of my career until now.

“Riccardo especially, he taught me many things that will forever remain part of my tennis.
“Many special memories were made and I’ll always look back on the time we spent together fondly.”
According to the Italian press, Sinner is looking for a ‘super coach’ next, with John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Magnus Norman all mentioned as possible mentors for the 20-year-old.
