WATCH: Rafa Nadal looks in great shape as he prepares for Australian Open in Melbourne
Rafa Nadal is back from injury and ready to mount an attack on the first Grand Slam of 2022 in Australia
Rafa Nadal will be looking to cement his name as the greatest player of all time by reaching 21 Grand Slam singles titles at the 2022 Australian open, and by the look of these clips, he is ready and raring to go.
Friend of Tennishead, Craig O’Shannessy, the founder of Brain Game Tennis, was in Melbourne to watch Nadal practise on the Rod Laver Arena court and was obviously impressed by what he saw.
Rafael #Nadal practice right now at #AusOpen = tennis & soccer in the same point. πΎβ½οΈπ pic.twitter.com/Zzo8UPIGfd

Rafael #Nadal absolutely, positively, is a better player when he is stepping inside the baseline to attack 2nd serves. The goal is to take time away from the server & force a Serve +1 error. Great offensive component. Happened right now at #AusOpen practice v Munar. pic.twitter.com/tLinNFTRCP

Rafael #Nadal is ranked No. 1 career best returning vs. 2nd serves. Guess what he is working on right now on Rod Laver Arena in the lead up to the #AusOpen? ππͺπΈπ¨ pic.twitter.com/qZkI4y6MTL

Nadal is equal with Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer on 20 Grand Slam singles titles, but Federer will not compete in Australia and Djokovic has yet to 100% confirm his attendance although the recent clips of him practising suggest he will be playing at the Australian Open.
