Jannik Sinner Australian Open 2021

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Jannik Sinner will finish the year in the top ten,’ says top analyst

Alex Corretja has tipped Jannik Sinner to finish the season inside the top ten, with Carlos Alcaraz and Loranzo Musetti ready to follow him, in an exclusive interview with Tennishead

There is genuine excitement within the tennis world right now at the emergence of Sinner, Alcaraz, and Musetti, with many tipping them to spend their careers vying at the top of the game.

Eurosport expert Corretja, who is also a former world number two, has high expectations of all three, although it’s Sinner who he expects to see challenging first.

“All of them are going to be great players,” Corretja exclusively told Tennishead. “I think Jannik Sinner is more determined at the moment because he is already up there.

“He is reaching quarters of the Slams and finals of Masters 1000 so he is a step ahead. He is going to be quicker than the others to explode.

“I think Alcaraz and Musetti have still got one or two years to get to the level that Sinner is at right now.

“For Alcaraz, I don’t think he will be in the top 50 at the end of the year, whereas Sinner I think he will be top ten.

“Sinner looks very good and I love his attitude on court. I love Alcaraz and Musetti too and it’s not a coincidence that they are better than the others [in their age group] because they are great players and their mentality is better.”
