11 time Grand Slam winning legend expects both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem to win Slams in 2020
One of the greatest tennis players of all times has no doubt that both finalists from the ATP Finals, Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas, will be winning Grand Slam tournaments next year
Rod Laver, himself a winner of 11 Grand Slam singles titles, thinks that 2020 is they year that the ‘Next Gen’ will break their duck and start winning Grand slam singles titles, especially Dominic Thiem and ATP Finals Champion Stefanos Tsitsipas
‘Rocket Rod’ took to Twitter after watching Tsitsipas win the title at the O2 to say, “An epic contest, great sportsmanship, and a budding rivalry. Congratulations Stefanos Tsitsipas, tennis is in good hands. Dominic Thiem has had an exceptional year and came within a few points of taking the ATP Final. I expect both young men will be winning majors in 2020.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas overcame Dominic Thiem in an epic final of the 2019 ATP Finals in a third set tie break. By reaching the final Thiem has moved up one place in the ATP singles rankings to finish the year as the no.4 player in the world.
However neither player has yet won a major title at a Grand Slam even though Thiem has competed in the final of the French Open
