Zvonareva to meet Tanasugarn in final

The 25-year-old Russian, ranked 14th in the world, beat Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova 6-2 4-6 6-3.

In the final Zvonareva will face Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn, who delighted her home crowd with a victory over another player from Kazakhstan, Sesil Karatantcheva.

Tanasugarn, the 32-year-old world number 87, overcame 20-year-old Karatantcheva 6-2 6-0.
