One WTA star, who has recently revealed her desperation to face Aryna Sabalenka again, has outlined her latest rankings goal.
It is not often that a player faces the world number one and walks away wanting more.
After all, with a bruising play style that causes trouble on any surface, most are just happy to walk away with their dignity intact.
Especially given the penchant she has for delivering beatdowns, even if 2025 has been a tough year by her standards.

Alas, having won the US Open earlier this month, it all became worthwhile, avenging defeats in two Grand Slam finals and another semi-final all in the same year.
But, it was at Wimbledon where she faced Carson Branstine in the very first round, and played to a level that left the Canadian craving another shot at the best.
Carson Branstine outlines her new rankings goal
Whilst the Belarusian breezed past Branstine in straight sets, the second set was particularly interesting given how close it felt throughout.
Many attributed the 6-1 first set to nerves, but the 25-year-old has since dispelled that notion.
She felt that her performance as the match went on was a fairer reflection of her level, which has continued to improve since Wimbledon.
And now, having won her second-round match against Julia Grabher at a WTA-125 event in Spain, Branstine has taken to X to reveal her latest rankings goal.
She wrote: “Vamos. Top 150 I’m coming for you. That’s my next goal.”
Why Carson Branstine really wanted a rematch with Aryna Sabalenka
Just weeks after her loss in the Wimbledon first round, Branstine explained why she wanted a rematch with Sabalenka.
It outlines a mindset that will surely help her achieve that goal of breaking into the top 150, as she currently sits 174th in the world.
Speaking about that match, she admitted: “Looking at the stats afterwards, even though it was 6-1, 7-5, we both hit the same number of winners, we both hit 17 winners in the match, I had seven aces, she only had three.
“All of the dictating stats, I was equal or better; it was just unforced errors. That’s a huge thing, knowing I was the one making mistakes, I was beating myself, taking that away with confidence.

“I have game, I have weapons, the sky is the limit now, I just have to back it up and keep going, take care of the details, and see.”
Branstine finished by claiming: “I want to play her again really badly.”
If she keeps rising up the rankings, that will surely be a reality soon enough.
