The WTA Aegon Open in Nottingham is a new addition to the calendar which offers some of the stars of the WTA an extra opportunity for grass court match practice ahead of further Wimbledon warm-up events in Birmingham and Eastbourne.

The $250,000 event officially begins at the Nottingham Tennis Centre on June 6 and the British contingent will be led by Heather Watson, who’ll use the tournament to kick-start her grass court season.

“It’s brilliant that we’ve got a brand new women’s event in Britain in the run-up to Wimbledon and I’m excited to be part of its debut year,” Watson said.

If you fancy getting up close to the action this summer we've got two pairs of tickets to give away to the inaugural Aegon Open.
