Jannik Sinner won his second Wimbledon title this year, defeating Alexander Zverev in the final.
After suffering a heartbreaking loss at the French Open, where he failed to complete his Career Grand Slam, Sinner bounced back in style at Wimbledon.
The Italian dropped just three sets all tournament, confirming his status as one of the greatest players alive.
How many Wimbledon titles will Jannik Sinner retire with?
He's a two-time champion! Roger Federer holds the men's singles record with eight…
But what was Sinner like behind the scenes throughout the tournament?
Andy Roddick says Jannik Sinner ‘couldn’t be more humble’ after spending time with him at Wimbledon
During the latest episode of ‘Served with Andy Roddick‘, the 2003 US Open champion revealed what Sinner is really like.
“He couldn’t be more humble, I’ve been around him behind the scenes more the last two weeks than I have been before,” said Roddick.
“Always a gentleman, walks in, looks everyone in the eye, says hello…

“After interviews, not only thanks the hosts, but he thanks the room. Everyone behind the scenes is doing great. ‘Thank you, everyone, we’ll see you.’ He’s just very aware and polite.
“A lot of respect!”
Most players and pundits agree that Sinner is one of the nicest athletes around.
While he may not have the charisma and star power of his rivals, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, Sinner has his own unique charm that carries him a long way.
That charm is seen frequently during his post-match interviews at big tournaments.
Unlike others, Sinner decides when the interview is finished!
But he doesn’t do so rudely or disrespectfully; he thanks the interviewer and the fans before waving goodbye.

Win or lose, Sinner rarely puts a foot wrong when talking, conducting himself as a true champion should.
If not for his three-month suspension last year, which turned many against him, it would be hard to find any reason to criticise the Italian.
Regardless of what you think about him, it certainly sounds like Sinner is a pleasure to be around.
Andy Roddick compares Jannik Sinner to tennis legends as he wins his fifth Grand Slam
Roddick was keen to put into context just how impressive Sinner’s fifth Grand Slam win is.
“It’s absurd what he’s doing,” he said.

“As these players keep racking up stats, I think it’s important to draw down comps with history.
“The big three frankly ruined all statistical comparisons.
“Now, if we want to actually have a sober view of the icons of our game. Jannik Sinner passes Jim Courier this tournament, a legend, four-time major winner, Jannik is at five.
“One short, [Stefan] Edberg, [Boris] Becker, at six majors, icons of our game, monsters.

“I saw Edberg at Queen’s Club three years ago, unexpectedly, playing on the court next to me. I couldn’t speak, I was so starstruck, it was absurd.
“Seven Grand Slams, two away, we’re talking [John] McEnroe, [Mats] Wilander, Carlos [Alcaraz], already on that list, absolute monster icons.
“Eight, which it’s not crazy to say that he’ll get to eight. [Andre] Agassi, [Jimmy] Connors, [Ivan] Lendl, this is the company he keeps now.
“And you’ve got to think he completes the Career Grand Slam sometime, at Roland Garros.
“So, I know we like to look back at the good times, ‘You remember those finals with Edberg and Becker, they were so cool’, this is that with Carlos and Sinner. We are living through another f– era, right now.”
Roddick is backing Sinner to complete the Career Grand Slam and add at least three more major titles to his tally.
He will have an opportunity to win his sixth Grand Slam, and move level with Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg, at the US Open later this year.
