Jannik Sinner has a big reason to be confident of coming out on top in his Wimbledon clash with Novak Djokovic.
The two ATP superstars will meet in the semifinals of Wimbledon, with Centre Court playing host to the highly anticipated match.
It is, of course, a repeat of the 2026 Australian Open semifinal meeting between the pair, which Djokovic won before losing the final to Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner, however, still leads the Serbian in their head-to-head despite that loss, with his 6-5 record representing a very significant feat.
Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic – Who reaches the Wimbledon final?
The best in the world takes on the G.O.A.T.
Jannik Sinner boasts unique record against Novak Djokovic
As per OptaAce, a total of 36 players have played 10 or more ATP matches against the legendary Djokovic.
But with his six wins and five losses, Sinner is the only such player to hold a winning record against his rival.
It’s a fantastic and unique achievement from the world number one, who will be looking to extend that record at Wimbledon.
His record translates to a win percentage of 54.5%, and is ahead of the likes of Alcaraz (50%) and his old nemesis Rafael Nadal (48.3%).
Just behind that trio are Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem with their tallies of 46% and 41.7% respectively.

Djokovic claimed the most recent bragging rights in Melbourne, but he enters their next meeting as the underdog.
The 39-year-old is the seventh seed at the All England Club, where Sinner is the top seed and defending champion.
But as Djokovic proved in his five-set thriller with Felix Auger-Aliassime in the semifinals, he simply cannot be written off.

Moreover, while the Serbian will likely be fatigued from that five-hour, 15-minute match, soaring temperatures in London could prove to be a major thorn in the side of the Italian.
Nonetheless, it should be another blockbuster between Djokovic and Sinner, who very rarely disappoint when they are on opposite sides of the court.
Incidentally, whoever comes out on top this time around will play in the Wimbledon final against either Alexander Zverev or Arthur Fery.
