Daniil Medvedev began his China Open campaign with a comprehensive victory over Cameron Norrie, but continued to play tennis straight after the win.
The Russian is working with new coach Thomas Johansson in an attempt to turn his worrying 2025 form around.
Medvedev was urged to stop pressurising himself and he looked some way back to his best as he defeated Norrie in straight sets.
The star continued his training with his new coach straight after the match as he was spotted on court minutes after beating the Brit.

Tennis journalist Jose Morgado shared a video of Medvedev continuing to hit balls on the Diamond Court in Beijing after the match.
Morgado claimed that the Russian star worked for a further ’25 minutes’ after picking up his second win of the Asian leg.
The star will face another tough test in Beijing in the round of 16 against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who just picked up his 150th ATP Tour win.
Medvedev has suffered an early exit at every Grand Slam this year, including first round exits at the US Open, Roland Garros, and Wimbledon.
The star’s dedication to the sport is shown with his practice after a victory could be signs that his new coach is beginning to bring out the best in the former World No. 1.
Daniil Medvedev reveals what he was working on during practice
Medvedev has played down his practice after his China Open win, suggesting it was nothing special in Beijing.
“Thomas wanted me to hit some shots,” said the Russian in his China Open press conference. “It was more probably like seven minutes or 10 minutes, so not that long.”
“Yeah, I mean, it’s nothing like too special. A lot of players do it,” he added. “We had a center court free for us because the next match is not soon. There was an opportunity and we just hit some balls. Nothing crazy.”
Carlos Alcaraz made headlines at the Cincinnati Open for hitting the practice courts straight after a win in August.
