Casper Ruud will have the opportunity to win his second ATP Tour title of the year at the Stockholm Open on Sunday.

The Norwegian star defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov on Saturday, setting up a clash against fourth seed Ugo Humbert.

The former world number two last won an ATP Tour title at the Madrid Open in April, defeating Jack Draper in the final to win his first Masters 1000 title.

Ruud also made another ATP Tour final in February, losing to Shapovalov at the Dallas Open.

Despite falling outside of the ATP top 10, Ruud remains one of the most talented individuals on the Tour, as demonstrated by his appearance in three Grand Slam finals.

Ruud has vocalised his ambition to finish the season on a strong note, and he seems to be fulfilling that wish in Stockholm.

Casper Ruud has reached the final of every ATP Tour competition type

Casper Ruud’s appearance in the Stockholm Open final will mark his third ATP Tour final of 2025.

By reaching this stage in Sweden, Ruud has reached his first ATP 250 final of the year, following appearances in an ATP 500 final [Dallas] and ATP 1000 final [Madrid].

Consequently, Ruud is the only player to have reached the final of all three ATP Tour event types in 2025.

The 26-year-old will look to add a 14th ATP Tour title to his collection on Sunday.

Ruud’s first title came at the Buenos Aires Open in 2020, and he has since added to his total in Geneva, Gstaad and Barcelona, to name a few.

Ruud helped to snap an ATP Tour streak by reaching the semi-final stage in Stockholm, and he will hope to continue his positive form on Sunday in the final.

Ruud’s losing record against Humbert

Remarkably, Ugo Humbert leads Casper Ruud by three wins to two in their head-to-head record.

Humbert won their first encounter at the 2020 Auckland Open, defeating the Norwegian 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 in the round of 32.

Ruud hit back later that same year, defeating his French peer at the Hamburg Open. However, a few months later, Humbert defeated Ruud again at the Paris Masters.
