What Alexander Bublik has done over the course of 2025 that not even Jannik Sinner can beat

Alexander Bublik continued his excellent form in the second half of the season with a win against Taylor Fritz at the Paris Masters, and he’s earned a record that not even Jannik Sinner can attest to.

Bublik made a bold Grand Slam claim at the Paris Masters as he raced to a straight sets victory against Fritz.

The star has won 24 matches since Roland Garros and he still has an outside shot of qualifying for the ATP Finals.

Bublik’s win over Fritz in Paris earned him an accolade in 2025 that only one other player on the ATP Tour has achieved.

Alexander Bublik’s latest achievement at the Paris Masters

Bublik’s win against Fritz in Paris was yet another top five win for the World No. 13 in 2025, who is a constant thorn in the side of top players.

The star has now picked up wins against top five players on all three surfaces this year, which is something that only Carlos Alcaraz has achieved.

Bublik has beaten Jannik Sinner on grass at Halle, Jack Draper on clay at Roland Garros, and now Fritz on hard court at the Paris Masters.

The World No. 13 will play Alex de Minaur in the quarter-final of the Paris Masters, with a potential re-match against Valentin Vacherot on the cards in the semi-final.

Vacherot knocked Bublik out of the Shanghai Masters on his way to his stunning win at the ATP 1000 tournament.

Alexander Bublik opens up on ATP Finals qualification

Bublik’s form in the second half of the season has earned him the highest career ranking he’s ever achieved.

The star will likely not have enough points to qualify for Turin, but that is not stopping Bublik from playing every tournament to ensure an outside chance.

“Maybe the first time in my career I have a big milestone really close to me,” said Bublik on court after his win against Fritz.

“If I would just relax and say ‘I’m tired, or I’m injured’, I would just blame myself afterward,” he added as he looks to add valuable points before the end of the year.
