Heather Watson has joined Dunlop as an official ambassador, promoting the brand’s Biomimetic range.

The 19-year-old Guernsey native, currently ranked at No.104 in the world, will play with the Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour as she looks to continue her recent rise after a string of positive results over the past year.

The 2009 US Open Junior champion already has two ITF titles under her belt but has impressed on the WTA circuit this season, reaching the quarter-finals at WTA events in Auckland and Memphis before defeating Stephanie Foretz Gacon at Roland Garros to become the first British woman to reach round two in Paris since 1994.

“We are thrilled that one of the brightest talents in British tennis has chosen to be with Dunlop,” said Sunny Singh, Head of Sporks Marketing for Dunlop.

“Heather has proven over the last year that she possesses fantastic skill on the court, but also the maturity to withstand the pressures of being in the media limelight. We look forward to helping her in her young career to achieve as much success as possible.”
