Taylor Fritz’s impressive season has been rewarded with yet another place at the ATP Finals in Turin.
Fritz has continued his ascent toward the top three of the rankings in 2025 with another consistent season on the ATP Tour.
The American might not have picked up a Masters or Grand Slam trophy, but he did pick up two titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne.
Fritz also made his first Wimbledon semi-final earlier this year, as well as the quarter-finals of the US Open.
He arrives at the ATP Finals looking to build upon his final appearance in 2024, which saw him lose to Jannik Sinner.

Tim Henman reveals conversation with Taylor Fritz’s coach at the ATP Finals
Tim Henman spoke about Fritz ahead of his match with Lorenzo Musetti at the ATP Finals and revealed a conversation he had about the American with his coach, Paul Annacone.
Annacone coached Henman between 2003 and 2007, and he also worked with Roger Federer and Sloane Stephens, before working with Fritz from the 2018 season.
Speaking about the American during Sky Sports coverage of the ATP Finals, Henman said: “He’s a great competitor. Having spoken to my old coach Paul Annacone, who worked with him, his ability just to stay focused and compete, each and every tournament.
“He loves to be out there; it’s as if he’d rather be on the match court at a tournament than on the practice court. He [Annacone] talks about the competitive spirit, day in, day out, they’re both California-based so when Taylor is home, that’s when Paul does a lot of his work with him.”
Annacone splits his coaching of Fritz with Michael Russell, who travels alongside the World No. six. “He travels less to the tournaments, but yeah, he’s always said he’s a phenomenal competitor,” said Henman.
Fritz opened his ATP Finals campaign with a win against Musetti, and he’ll also play Carlos Alcaraz and Alex de Minaur in the group stage.
Taylor Fritz’s consistent 2025 season
Fritz might not have built on his Masters or Grand Slam success in 2025, but he’s continued to be the pinnacle of consistency on the ATP Tour.
The American has won two tournaments in 2025, which is the same number he’s managed in 2024 and 2023.
Where the star has fallen down on his previous season, is the number of wins over top 10 players he’s managed this season.
Fritz has only beaten three top 10 players in 2025, and two of those came in an exhibition setting at the Laver Cup.
He’s beaten Alexander Zverev on two occasions, as well as his first-ever victory against Alcaraz at the Laver Cup. In contrast, Fritz managed 11 top 10 wins in 2024.
Three of those results came at the ATP Finals so Fritz has the perfect opportunity to try and build upon his record before the season ends.
