The 2025 Davis Cup has officially concluded, and Italy have emerged victorious once again.
The Italian team, who did not lose a match during the 2025 Davis Cup Finals, clinched the tie following Flavio Cobolli’s comeback victory against Jaume Munar on Sunday.
By doing so, Italy are the first country to win three consecutive Davis Cup titles since the USA in 1972.

As for Spain, this was a heartbreaking loss – particularly for Munar, who performed superbly throughout the week in Bologna, Italy.
The Spaniard is certainly one to watch in 2026, after demonstrating a level not witnessed before while playing in the Davis Cup Finals.
Jaume Munar could be set for a big 2026 ATP season
Although Jaume Munar lost two of his three matches in the Davis Cup Finals, he has made a significant impression.
The Spaniard, who was the underdog in every match, swept aside world number 17 Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals, keeping Spain in the tie.
In the semi-finals, the world number 36 was unfortunate to lose 7-6, 7-6 to world number three Alexander Zverev.
After the contest, Zverev noted Munar’s improvement, particularly on serve. Munar served nine aces during the match
In the final, Munar again shone under the brightest lights, playing outstanding tennis to win the opening set 6-1 against Flavio Cobolli.

Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he lost the next two sets 7-6, 7-5.
Munar, who is an excellent counter-puncher, has risen from world number 82 to 36 this year, and if he can carry his excellent Davis Cup form into 2026, he could become a seeded player at Grand Slams very soon.
Jaume Munar’s performance against Flavio Cobolli
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there is little to separate Flavio Cobolli and Jaume Munar when analysing their respective performances on Sunday.
As per Sofascore, Munar made 65 per cent of his first serves against Cobolli, winning 75 per cent of those points.
He also served nine aces – to Cobolli’s four – and saved 12 of the Italian’s 14 break-point opportunities.
