Arthur Fils produced one of his best-ever displays to destroy Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round of the Miami Open.
The Frenchman bagelled Tsitsipas in the first set and dropped just one game in the second as he humbled the Greek star.
Fils’ tennis comeback has already been successful, including a Qatar Open final and a quarter-final appearance at Indian Wells.
The star’s domination of Tsitsipas saw him become the fourth player to bagel the Greek star, which includes two elite players.

Arthur Fils becomes the fourth player to bagel Stefanos Tsitsipas
Fils joined elite company by squashing Tsitsipas at the Miami Open, as two of the ‘big three’ have also bagelled the Greek star.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal achieved the feat in their careers, at the Italian Open and Australian Open, respectively.

Unsurprisingly, those two matches ended in defeat for Tsitsipas, who only beat both men on two occasions in his career.
Players to bagel Stefanos Tsitsipas
- Arthur Fils – Miami Open 2026 (6-0 6-1)
- Daniel Elahi Galan – US Open 2022 (6-0 6-1 3-6 7-5)
- Novak Djokovic – Italian Open 2022 (6-0 7-6)
- Rafael Nadal – Australian Open 2019 (6-2 6-4 6-0)
Perhaps the most surprising name on the list is Daniel Elahi Galan, who bagelled Tsitsipas at the 2022 US Open.
The Colombian star has never cracked the top 50 of the ATP Tour in his career, but he inflicted the bagel as he beat Tsitsipas in four sets at the New York Grand Slam.
Galan is still plying his trade on the ATP Tour at 29 years of age, but he is currently ranked world number 236.
Arthur Fils reacts to his dominant performance against Stefanos Tsitsipas
Fils was understandably delighted with his victory over Tsitsipas and he even called it his best-ever performance.
Speaking on-court, Fils was full of praise for his Greek counterpart, despite dismantling his game in Miami.
“I know that he’s a great champion so I know that every time I step onto the court I need to play my best best best tennis,” he said.
If you were in charge of tennis, what is the first rule you would change?
The Frenchman added: “Tonight, I never played that good, so pretty happy with the performance tonight.
“When I’m stepping on the court, I always want to win, so whenever I’m playing a second round or a quarters or whatever it is, I just want to win. If I can win all the matches, it’s pretty cool.”
Fils is in the top half of the Miami Open draw, with Taylor Fritz the only player left inside the top 20 of the rankings following Carlos Alcaraz’s loss to Sebastian Korda.
The Frenchman will now be considered one of the real favourites to at least reach the finals of the Masters event.
If he does so, Fils will compete in the second ATP final since his comeback, which is no mean feat considering how much action he missed in 2025.
