Andy Murray and Tim Henman both failed to win the Stockholm Open, but there was one British man who managed it.
Murray played in the tournament in 2021 and even beat Jannik Sinner, but he fell at the quarter-finals to Tommy Paul.
Henman, meanwhile, played the 1998 tournament but his campaign was ended in the semi-finals by Todd Martin.
The British player who lifted the trophy beat one of the most illustrious players of all time to win the tournament in 1987.

Mark Cox won the Stockholm Open in 1987
British players have often entered into the indoor Swedish tournament, with Jacob Fearnley riding high at the 2025 Stockholm Open.
No British star has been successful apart from Mark Cox in 1987, who won six matches to win the tournament.
Cox achieved a career-high rank of World No. 12 a decade prior, but he was unseeded for the tournament he would go on to lift.
The British star even defeated eight-time Grand Slam champion Jimmy Connors in the final to achieve one of the 24 career titles he would win in his career.
Cox also defeated Manuel Orantes in the final, as well as Byron Bertram, Wojciech Fibak, and Douglas Palm.
Mark Cox beat some of the best players in history
Cox described himself as a ‘journeyman player’ when talking to the Wimbledon official website, but the star defeated some of the biggest icons in the game.
Arguably his biggest win of his career came against Rod Laver at the Australian Open, a tournament the Aussie won on three occasions.
The star also beat Connors at the US Open, as well as Ken Rosewall, who won eight Grand Slams in his career.
Cox’s best performance at a Grand Slam came at the US Open and Australian Open, where he reached the quarter-finals.
