Rafael Nadal’s period between 2008 and 2011 saw him collect seven Grand Slams from a potential 16.
The star managed to convert his clay court form onto other surfaces, as he collected victories at the three other Grand Slams.
Nadal peaked in 2010 as he won three out of four Grand Slams, with Roger Federer stopping him at the Australian Open.
In that same year, Andre Agassi made a prediction about the King of Clay which only just didn’t come to fruition.

Andre Agassi said Rafael Nadal would win the Golden Slam
The Golden Slam is awarded to a player who wins all four Grand Slams in a row, but it’s only been achieved once in the Open Era.
Rod Laver managed the feat in 1969, but several players have nearly achieved the feat. In 2010, Agassi believed that Nadal could do it.
What is your bold prediction for the 2026 tennis season?
Speaking ahead of Roland Garros in 2010, Agassi said: “It wouldn’t shock me to see him (Nadal) pull off the unthinkable.
“I think this is the first time in a long time that we are going to have an opportunity to see somebody maybe pull that off.
“If Nadal returns his usual result at the French Open and then comes here (Wimbledon) with confidence and puts together a great two weeks, I think we could be looking at him in New York with a chance of pulling off the unthinkable. I didn’t think I would ever see it.”
Nadal won Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open in 2010 following Agassi’s comments but he fell at the final hurdle at the US Open.
The Spaniard was defeated by his compatriot David Ferrer in the quarter-finals in a shock straight sets loss.
Rafael Nadal and Andre Agassi’s head-to-head record
Agassi and Nadal might feel like they represented two different eras of the sport, but they did actually meet twice on the ATP Tour.
Nadal was just a teenager when they first played, while Agassi was about to confirm his retirement from tennis.
Novak Djokovic is the tennis GOAT… Prove us wrong
Both meetings were won by Nadal, with the Spaniard defeating the American at the Canadian Open and Wimbledon.
Agassi managed to take just one set of Nadal during their two meetings, which came in the final of the Canadian Open.
