The British player with the most to prove in 2026 is not Emma Raducanu or Jack Draper

Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper both have a lot to prove heading into the 2026 season.

Draper enjoyed a breakout year on the ATP Tour, winning Indian Wells and reaching the final of the Madrid Open.

However, the former world number four must prove that he can stay healthy on the Tour after being absent for most of the second half of 2025 due to a left arm injury – an issue that has left Andy Roddick feeling concerned.

Emma Raducanu put together her most consistent year on the WTA Tour thus far, and for the first time since the 2022 Australian Open, she will be seeded for a Grand Slam.

The Brit has risen to world number 29 after some impressive performances across 2025, and will be seeded at the 2026 Australian Open.

While both Draper and Raducanu have much to prove in 2026, there is another British star who will need to bounce back to a greater degree in 2026.

Katie Boulter has the most to prove of any British player in 2026

2025 has been a difficult year on the WTA Tour for British star Katie Boulter.

The 29-year-old ended the 2024 WTA Tour season ranked 24th in the world. A year later, she was ranked 100th.

The British star, who has a career-high ranking of world number 23, struggled particularly during the Asian swing before revealing that she had been playing through injuries.

Boulter has also struggled on serve at points during the year. The Brit has historically struggled with the shot, as noted by former top 10 player Andrea Petkovic.

Boulter, who is now ranked 104 in the world, will need to prove that she can improve this element of her game in 2026, while also remaining in good physical health.

Every British fan knows that Boulter possesses the quality to return to her previous heights, as evidenced by her victories against Paula Badosa and Linda Noskova this year.

What is stopping Katie Boulter from staying in the WTA top 20?

“A fantastic player, was already in the top 20, and she has unfortunately – we have talked about it so many times on our podcast – unfortunately, she just has the yips.”

However, she is now at a career crossroads, and the 2026 season could play a big part in Boulter’s future prospects on the WTA Tour.

Will Katie Boulter bounce back in 2026?

One must have faith in Katie Boulter heading into the 2026 campaign.

The British 29-year-old has put together an extremely respectable career, and one under-par season should not cloud fans’ expectations for her moving forward.

Boulter will bounce back, and British fans should get behind her in 2026.

She will have the chance to start the year on the right foot in 2026 at the Australian Open, which begins on January 12.
