Outside of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray is considered the best player of his generation.
Murray won two Wimbledon crowns, as well as the US Open and two Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016.
The star reached world number one status in 2016, becoming one of the few men outside of the big three to hold the status in the 2000s.
Despite all of his incredible tennis accolades, one star admitted he didn’t think much of Murray when he first played him.

Alexandr Dolgopolov was unimpressed by Andy Murray in 2006
Alexandr Dolgopolov did not necessarily live up to his potential, although he did reach a career-high of world number 13.
The Ukrainian star only reached one Grand Slam quarterfinal, but he did win three ATP titles throughout his career.
Despite never cracking the elite of the tour, he shared his disappointment when he first played Murray in the Davis Cup.
Where does Andy Murray rank among the best players in tennis?
The star lost to Murray in straight sets, but he still expressed that he was ‘expecting more’ from the Grand Slam winner.
He said: “I remember I was expecting more. He didn’t play particularly fast. I thought he would have lots of pace and I didn’t play those players in real life, I just watched them on television.
“But television makes them look much faster. When I came out, I realised I was playing much faster, hitting the shots but I made too many unforced errors. I wasn’t consistent enough to even win a set.”
Andy Murray’s record against Alexandr Dolgopolov
Dolgopolov might have been disappointed with the British star, but he never managed to beat him in his career.
Murray and Dolgopolov met a further three times after their meeting in the Davis Cup, all of which went the way of the British star.
He beat the Ukrainian in his only Grand Slam quarterfinal at the 2011 Australian Open after an incredible five-set match.
Murray also defeated the star in the final of the Brisbane International in 2012, as well as the Shanghai Masters in the same year.
Perhaps Murray took the comments from the Ukrainian to heart.
