tennishead mag: July issue out now

There’s barely a week and a half left until the first ball is struck at the world’s greatest tennis tournament, but if that’s too long a wait, how about a jam-packed and gloriously glossy magazine to while away the time?

In shops nationwide now, the July issue of tennishead magazine is fit to burst with all things Wimbledon as we mark an extra special year for the All England Club.

It’s 125 years since Spencer Gore took home the inaugural Wimbledon title, and over a century and a quarter later, the tournament is more revered and fiercely contested than ever. Mr Invincible up until the semi-finals of the French Open this year, Novak Djokovic has put winning the SW19 crown at the top of his to-do-list and Barry Flatman looks back on his supreme run and chances of fortune at this year’s tournament.

Wimbledon nearly-man Tim Henman recounts the Centre Court match that proved to be the turning point in his career, while we also put former-fourth rounder Marin Cilic under the spotlight and chat to rising star Julia Goerges, marathon man John Isner and Indian doubles duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes.

If that wasn’t enough, we speak to tournament referee Andrew Jarrett about his role as the high-profile decision maker during the fortnight, while Chairman Philip Brook reveals his vision for the future ahead of his first tournament in charge after taking over the reigns from Tim Phillips.

There’s also a run down of everything you need to know about this year’s event, analysis of the top contenders, the golden moments from Championships past (I could go on all day), plus all the usual coaching and gear sections and a comprehensive break down of all the results from the ATP & WTA Tours.

It’s sure to fly off shelves, so off you pop!
