The Olympic tennis event at the All England Club came to a dramatic climax on Sunday with Britain’s Andy Murray producing a fine performance to beat Switzerland’s Roger Federer and take the gold medal. Serena and Venus Williams took their fourth gold’s by winning the women’s doubles and Murray and Laura Robson claimed silver in the mixed doubles with Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi winning the second Olympic tennis medals for Belarus, with Vika having already won bronze in the women’s singles. Bob and Mike Bryan’s triumph in the men’s doubles and Serena’s Women’s singles gold completed a particularly triumphant weekend for the Americans.

But the Olympic tennis event was so much more than just a list of medalists. Over eight days we were treated to some amazing matches with 44 nations lining up at the start of this incredible event staged at a transformed All England Club.

Our souvenir edition, out on August 23, will record all of the action through the eyes of our photographers that were at the entire event, a special feature celebrating Murray’s gold medal victory and our comprehensive results section which will be a collectable record of all the results from start to finish. Plus we have a preview of the London 2012 Paralympic games, with the tennis event to be held at Eton Manor, which get underway in just a few weeks’ time.
